Every bucket is unique and reflects the changing seasons on our flower farm. The varieties included will depend on the time of year you order, but each one will be filled with abundant, freshly harvested flowers ready for you to arrange.

Flower Care
Your DIY flower bucket contains a beautiful selection of freshly cut, home-grown flowers ready for you to create your own arrangements. With proper care, these blooms will stay fresh and vibrant for your creative projects.
Getting started:
- Your flowers arrive fresh in their bucket of water and are ready to start arranging as soon as you receive them
- Using sharp, clean scissors or secateurs, cut stems at an angle under running water to whatever length suits your arrangement
- Remove any leaves that would sit below the waterline to prevent bacteria
- Keep stems in water while you work on your arrangements
Preparing your arrangement:
- Choose a clean vase and fill with fresh, cool water
- Add flower food if available
- Handle delicate flowers (sweet peas, cosmos) gently and arrange quickly
- For daffodils and tulips, condition separately for 12 hours before mixing with other flowers
- Dried elements (lavender, honesty, statice) don’t need water and add lovely texture
Caring for your arrangement:
- Display somewhere cool, away from direct sun, heat sources, or draughts
- Check water level daily and top up as needed
- Every 2-3 days, trim stems by 1cm under running water and change the water completely
- Remove any wilting flowers or yellowing leaves promptly to help the rest last longer
Getting the best results:
- Don’t overcrowd your vase – flowers need space to breathe
- Mix different flower types for varied textures and colours
- Save some stems for smaller arrangements in different rooms
With proper care, your fresh flowers should stay beautiful for 5-7 days, with sturdier varieties like chrysanthemums and dahlias often lasting up to 10 days. The dried elements will last indefinitely when kept dry.

Delivery
Our DIY Flower Buckets are available for local delivery within a 15-mile radius of Marguerite Rose’s flower farm in Devon (EX17 4QU).
Each bucket is freshly harvested to order, filled with a seasonal selection of flowers and foliage from our fields, and placed in water to help keep the stems beautifully fresh during their journey. Your flowers are carefully prepared and packaged before being personally delivered, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve from our farm to your door.
To allow enough time for harvesting and preparation, please place your order by 12 noon for next working day delivery (Monday to Friday).
If you prefer, you’re also welcome to collect your DIY Flower Bucket directly from the farm. Simply get in touch via our Contact page to arrange a convenient collection time.
Delivery Notes
- Local delivery is £6.99 per order.
- Deliveries are made Monday to Friday.
- A signature isn’t required, but please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery or leave instructions for a safe place.
- You’ll receive a dispatch confirmation email once your order is on its way.

Seasonal Availability
Our DIY Flower Buckets are thoughtfully created using flowers grown exclusively on our flower farm in Devon. We grow naturally with the seasons, without artificial heat or light, so the flowers and foliage available change throughout the year depending on what is blooming in our fields.
Each DIY Flower Bucket is freshly harvested to order and will include a seasonal selection of flowers, foliage and natural textures chosen by our florist. The varieties included will depend on the time of year you order, with every bucket reflecting the beauty of the season. Our fresh flower season runs from April to September. As autumn arrives, our fields naturally begin to rest, and from October until the following April we no longer offer fresh DIY Flower Buckets. During this time, we offer dried flower arrangements throughout autumn and winter, along with handcrafted festive wreaths and Christmas pieces during December.
As with all British-grown flowers, availability can occasionally be affected by the weather. Late frosts, heavy rainfall or unexpected cold spells can influence what is ready to harvest. If we’re ever unable to fulfil your order, we’ll contact you promptly and, of course, you won’t be charged.
